The storm begins to lash Key West Florida
Irma is forecast to follow the west coast of Florida from the Florida Keys through Naples, Fort Myers and Tampa.The storm is then predicted to turn north east. Hurricane force winds and tropical force winds are expected to reach from Orlando to the east coast of Florida. The threat of massive amounts of rain and flooding is expected. More then 75,000 people are in 400 shelters statewide. Power outages are reported in south florida.
